Clinic Helper News

Updated September 6, 2010
I can't believe fall is here. School begins this week and then we will all be swallowed up in the hectic schedules of studying, sports, and extra activities. Fact is, we also have weekend clinics to manage. I hope you will pencil Sprucelands in as one of the things you love to do.

Should anyone else want to join the clinic helper program, simply contact Eileen at spruceland@gmail.com and we will arrange a way for you to get into the action with lots of hands-on training and support.

It would be a good idea to refresh your understanding of the clinic helper program. For new helpers, read through the details of the clinic helper program by clicking here. Also, there are qualities that you need to be a good clinic helper. You can check those out by clicking here. And there is a general introduction to the program here.

September 10-12 Special Needs Adults - full to overflowing clinic
September 17-19 Regular scout clinic
September 24-26 Regular scout clinic - I think this is a clinic of 24-26 riders
October 15-17 Regular scout clinic possible - hasn't been confirmed yet
If this clinic doesn't work out, then I'd like to offer this weekend to you as a riding weekend with some trails, campfire, games, fall fun. I could do this for $60 a person if you all bring some food to pass. Two lessons or trails on Saturday and another on Sunday morning. I suppose we could do it the following weekend (if the clinic does schedule) and call it our Halloween party. What do you think? Arrive 7:30 p.m. Friday and finish up at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

December 4-6 CHRISTMAS REUNION: Put this on your calendar.
Arrive 7:30 p.m. Friday. Finish by 1:00 p.m. Sunday.
Let's do a Christmas Reunion that will kick off our Toy Story theme for next summer. Maybe we can do some brainstorming or dress as a favorite character or watch the movies together. Who knows? I'm game for anything.
Bring a dish to pass for supper on Saturday night. We always love our buffet. It's a beautiful meal.
Breakfasts and lunch are provided as part of the cost of the weekend. No need to bring extra food.
Other activities and events: riding lesson, cookie decorating, Christmas tree raising and red ribbon ceremony, lots of laughs and silly fun. Come and be grateful for the wonders of 2010 and the anticipation of 2011.
Cost: $60
