Camp Philosophy
Horsemanship
Exposure to safe horse care and riding encourages
campers to discover the unique, beautiful relationship between horse and
rider. Participating in hands-on horse management, they experience
demanding day-to-day responsibilities while realizing the dynamics of
herd psychology. Dressage, jumping, trail rides, and drill team, open to
Horsemasters and Accelerated Horsemasters, challenge and expand mounted
skills. Throughout all riding classes, Centered Riding techniques are
applied.
Positive Approach
At Sprucelands, we believe every problem has a solution. It is an optimistic point of view which invites your children to look at the good in each situation, person, or horse. It is camp life filled with hugs, thoughtfulness, gratitude, respect, and consideration for the feelings in others. The Sprucelands day is upbeat. Campers are invited to see the possibilities evolving from a positive stance and discover a new belief in self. Living and learning together becomes an adventure!
Anything is Possible
By honoring standards, values, and self esteem, Sprucelands aims to make a positive difference in the lives of our campers. They are encouraged to do their best and feel joy in their accomplishments. We hope your child will transfer their summer learning into a year-round "Anything is Possible" attitude, and find ways to make a positive difference with friends and family back home.

We grow together. We walk taller. We make a difference to each
other.
