This is a peek at Sprucelands. We hope you look deeper into our
programs, genuine philosophy, and approach to horses, riding and your
children.
Benefits
Your child's
uniqueness is a priority.
Our staff enjoys knowing each individual, and extends to them an invitation
for a summer, fun-filled, learning adventure with horses and good friends.
There is a strong
focus on camper participation and leadership. As campers become comfortable with daily routines, they are encouraged
to contribute. Some write for the camp newspaper or make announcements in
the dining hall. Others help prepare evening programs or become a special
friend to a new camper. Those interested in expanding their horsemanship
have opportunities to assist riders and learn about teaching skills.
Sprucelands teaches confident horse care, safety practices, and the joy of relationship between horse and rider. Because our camp is a non-competitive, skills-oriented camp, we pride ourselves on giving our riders sound, safe information and practice with horse care and riding. Even more than that, we guide riders into a connection with their horse that creates a lasting partnership and lifelong memory.
The
spirit of Sprucelands is contagious.
Friendships grow through laughter, singing, hugs, and horses. A
family-like atmosphere helps every camper feel important. Feeling special,
campers tackle the day, developing a confidence in their personal abilities.
The camp motto, 'Anything is Possible at Sprucelands', translates into a
basic positive stance that anything is possible, anywhere!
