Meet Our Director: Eileen Thompson
Working
with Sprucelands since 1979
Running summer camp, expanding its program, and maintaining high
standards in a stressful world challenges Eileen year round. What
is most rewarding is joining with her extended summer family who share
the same investment in kids, the program, and Sprucelands. "We care
about kids and we want to give them an experience that will expand their
self confidence," says Eileen.
Her Year Round Family is Awesome
Daley and Dylan are Thad and Bradley's children. They are becoming good students, terrific soccer players, wonderful campers, determined riders, and conscientious individuals. Both boys are fun to know at summer camp. They enjoy the Sprucelands spirit. Bradley participates on our summer staff while Thad is extremely busy supervising the Seneca Falls golf course in Waterloo, New York.
Brenden and Kiersten are Drew and Kelli's son
and daughter. They are also growing and changing as we speak. In
fact, they are also campers in the summer, and they love it! Brenden has a sense of humor that tickles everyone's fancy. Kiersten
loves the horses and is learning how to be independent around them. Drew
supervises the East Aurora golf course. Kelli is a school teacher.

Stacey and his wife Jennifer are busy striking up a routine with their son, Brady. He is quite something. What a wonderful giggle he has and the twinkle in his eye tells everyone that he is ready to explore the world around him. Stacey is working within a local oil company installing furnaces, air conditioning, and water softeners. Jenn is a physical therapist.
Darren and Teri have two beautiful girls: Amanda and Shelby. They are loving school these days. Eileen is trying to turn them on to scrap booking and camp. The girls love doing things with their family and they are very active with friends. When they come out to camp, they thoroughly enjoy picnics, exploring, spending time with their cousins, and finding cats to snuggle.
