Anything is Possible at Sprucelands!
Sprucelands Horseback Riding Camp

Welcome back!

Staff members past and present stay in touch all the time.

Joseph Keleher paid us a visit  after a trip to the Bahrain (if that's how you spell it). He looks great and sounds wonderful.

Ravenwolf Axelrad - known as Raven - has worked on our staff for the past 2-3 years. He brings his horse, Bootjack, and thoroughly enjoys passing on his enthusiasm for camp. Now he sees camp from a different perspective, realizing that he is a role model that has the power to influence camper self confidence and learning. Of course, he loves to share the practical jokes he used to play when he was a camper, and believe me, there were many.

We had a visit not so long ago from Candice Chaplin. Thad, Drew and Stacey were here to visit with Candice as well. We caught up on all our news, and spent the afternoon Old friendsgiggling about old camp memories.  She is as enthusiastic and fun as ever.

Just recently, Candice wrote to say she was adopting a child from China. She stays in touch via email. Her adoption is a lengthy process. We hope it doesn't take too long because in the not so distant future we would love to recruit her as a Hill Mom.

Our dear friend Melora Purell joined our camp staff as Hill Parent several years ago. She lives with her husband Kevin and their two children in Hawaii. You know, it feels wonderful to have old campers return to camp with their children.

Some campers are old enough now to send their children to camp. Remember Jennifer Moog? She lives in California now and happily has included her daughter Jessica in our summer camp experience. Warms my heart.

Debbie and Michelle Nupp stay in touch. Thad's wife, little Bradley Griffiths, helps Eileen run the program. Eileen's grandchildren are now sharing in the summer adventures. And     so it goes. What fun. We are passing Sprucelands on to new generations and it is wonderful.
